This is a simple tune I wrote to teach rhythm (three 8th notes at m. 25 become a dotted quarter in m. 33). I never intended to play it more than a couple times, but my students LOVED it. This was what I would always hear students playing before and after band, so here it is for your students to enjoy too!

Fun way to teach dynamics!
We have a lot of fun with this in band. I tell students that it's a piece written about having lots of homework. After the intro, it starts soft, and then gradually gets louder as the homework increases. Students love measure 13 when the instruments play at different times. It's a great way to teach dynamics and basic ensemble skills. Play it with your students, and they will all say they love Homework!
